If you start in 867, the Norse culture is forced to split in the year 1000. Only way to prevent this is to hold something like 80% of all Norse counties on the map. This would also force you to become e.g. Swedish if you only hold land in England.
In 1066 the cultures are already split in Scandinavia, with the only remains of the Norse residing in Iceland.

I always turn the generated families off, so there aren't any random characters on the map.
Indeed
That's not true In my current playthrough I started as the chieftain of the Isle of Mann and when the split happened I stayed norse and even now I've reached the 1250's and I'm still norse even if my culture is high medieval age with the empire of Britannia I hold
Ok, I tired to restart, and she is Norwegian again.. So is this not suppose to be the case and i should "bug" it? here is a screenie of the start point, maybe check if it's the same on yours if you could, I prefer bugs be fixed but over all this one doesn't seam to harmful though i guess playing early Norwegian might be different, i dunno. The culture is different for sure in this one.

So if this is an actual bug, should i try to fix my play and swap her back to Norse? isn't there an easy way to do this early in the game? I'm a bit rusy on CKIII, but i thought there was some sorta event thing or something to flip it to the main culture.
