How to become Caliph

Hi Guys, sorry if it seems lame or outdated, couldnt find the answer on reddit etc. Yesterday was my first time played as Sunni Muslim on Emirate of Harb, then i worked my way to create Empire of Arabia with my character as the emperor, even if im already held the highest title, it seems that the sunni caliphate is still given to Abbassid Family, even the current caliph now is my vassal, it seems that there are no options to take the Caliph title. It is because im not have "Sayyid" trait? or there are another method for me to become caliph?

There is some problem with all Head of Religion titles. I was playing as an Ethiopian Christian, and the head of some branch of Islam was one of my vassals. I could not revoke his last county because he held a head of religion title. If I would have executed him, his son would inherit his title and then he would have held that last county, etc. I think it's a glitch with Head of Faith..
