The disease of Syphilis (Great Pox) likewise came from the new world. The only reason why prostitution was eventually outlawed - supposedly Rome was still the city with the most prostitutes in the world by the time of Martin Luther.
Most likely a goof by the writers, same like plenty of other anachronisms (carriage driving, ball evening etc).
Don't need to be an Einstein to see that goofs and outright fantasy content are very different things.
" Paradox Development Studio brings you the sequel to one of the most popular strategy games ever made. Crusader Kings III is the heir to a long legacy of historical grand strategy experiences and arrives with a host of new ways to ensure the success of your royal house. "
This isn't the right game for supernatural things, there are other games for that.
The waiter says "why don't you just order our breakfast platter. It comes with pancakes, sausage, bacon and your choice of syrups."
I reply, "But I am hungry for a hamburger..."
Unfortunately you need zombies, vampires or monsters in every game nowadays, otherwise the younger generation of players gets bored from the more serious and history oriented gameplay.
If it's not that it's weapon skins, funky looking characters or even worse..anime..
Not saying these genres have no right to exist, they do, but it is getting rather silly that they are always forced in to so many games that weren't supposed to be like this in the first place.
Topics like this are dangerous, you just need a few more people supporting this and the devs get dollar sign in their eyes and start implementing some twillight zone BS or anime characters with huge eyes.
When this happens I would be refunding the game or put it aside for once and for all.
PS: Have you noticed that most of these people who create such threads don't even participate in the thread discussion anymore after they opened the topic? Same goes for 'Wowo Jones', there has not been one single reply since he opened and people who aren't willing to discuss or talk about different opinions and only suggest, haven't got a say anyway. Like..why opening a thread? Then just sending a mail to the devs would make more sense.
It's a "DISCUSSION forum "
Either way, I respect your wishes for more fantasy, but perhaps in a different title.
Sorry my life doesn't allow me to reply as soon as you'd like.
I feel pretty confident that i'm older than you, not that its relevant to any discussion, you're simply using your idea of my age as a way to invalidate my OP.
I'll be honest, CK2 is amazing. I could and have played many hours into it, with mods and without. CK3's base is....lacking. It reminds me of early Stellaris, where i could tell right away the base game just doesn't have the core of fun gameplay to fuel endless hours of entertainment. I want the game to be better. You can're retread though. A dozen DLCs and updates haven't created an in depth simulator. Stellaris is still boring. CK3 will never be CK2, and if it wants to be better, its going to have to explore new growth, new directions to stay fresh. That;s how art works, if its not surprising, its well, boring.
I'm not saying you have to agree with my idea. I certainly welcome your discussion on it. But don't expect me to agree with you, because there is no US, you don't speak for all customers who bought this game.
Do you know what anachronism means?
