Shattered Realms - Any idea of when it is or isn't coming?
I'm holding back from buying CK3 until I see enough features I'm interested in. A ruler designer is good, and I'm glad that's a thing (Even though I heard its a lot different from CK2's), but I almost solely played Shattered Realms.
I really liked to start the map divided with everyone as a simple duke or count, and it being a free for all to watch kingdoms form (Mine included).
There seems to be mods with something similar, but I'd rather not rely on mods and etc.
Tried looking through dev blog and news posts but there's too much information, so if someone has seem them mention it, please let me know? Thanks!

Check the workshop for "More Game Rules", and "Brave New World" if you want shattered realm but with more options to tweak

But why dont you want mods? Do you play strictly ironman or something? Cuz otherwise i dont see why, the mods work great with no issues and are tons of fun

As for it being an actual feature in the game, i cant see it happening since it seems only a handful are interested in that and somehow can play the same setting over and over and not get bored to death

Shattered world blocked 99% of achievements anyway, and you can still play Ironman with mods (just can't get achievements), so it definitely shouldn't matter.

I do like the idea of achievements and the like, but I'm always cautious for mods...When an update comes out, they break. They can have bugs or interfere with the game normally, issues that maybe only you find and breaks a save in some way, or doesn't quite meet quality assurance.
Thank you though. I guess I could give the modding a shot when I finally get the game sometime, I've been itching to try it out.
A shame there's not a lot of interest in randomizing/shattering the world, though. I thought it was a cool feature. I guess that answers my question.

Majority of mods do break when the game updates and depending on the mod/author it can take a few days to weeks to get it updated so i wont deny thats a bit of a pain in the ass, but thats pretty much it, yea depending on what mods you use together you can encounter compatibility issues but as long as you're careful, you'll be fine. I for instance have around 100 mods installed and enabled and i have no issues apart from the game taking like 2-3 mins to get to the main menu lol (game's even on my SSD too)

But yea, Brave New World specifically was a real game changer for me, starting either as a count or duke with NO kingdoms or empires formed anywhere, religion and culture randomized, a world where Catholicism/Asha'ri is not all over the place... Real game changer, made me go back to playing as often as i used to

That Brave New World mod DOES sound pretty interesting. I looked around on it and it seems to do what I was looking for. Thanks for the tip on it, next time the game's on sale and I grab it I'll check that mod out (Well, after playing Vanilla properly, not just family-sharing it for a bit).
