I don't think a single DLC is going to bring all the flavor you're hoping for. You could always load up CK2 or a different game.
It's funny. One day the monkeys complain when game's come out with DLC too early because it was cut out of the game, then they complaining they ain't getting milked fast enough with day one DLC.
You guys just like to join the echo chamber so you can be part of something. I don't even know if you drones even realise what you're complaining about half the time.
I think they'll probably release something soon and you can sit on it.
There literally a dev diary from this morning bro. Maybe go read it.
They should've either sold it as early access at half price and made a 20 - 30 $ DLC with all the missing features when they actually finished the game instead of this glitterhoof BS
Sure the begging is amusing, setting up the next ruler, going hard on war, then the hunker down stage of building and politics, then the REALLY weird stuff randomly happens that just throws me.
King of England becomes a homosexual after several kids at the age of 50 something because of a random event I got?
Or how the traits line up with a loving caring mother bear for a queen then she turns into a lesbian physco path that kills her own daughter and lines me up next for the kill?
'What we have here is a historical game that tries its best to line up with historical events, you play as that rules' REALLY?
I put all the work and effort in for nothing really, it reminds me of the imagination games I played when I was like 5-8 years old, where we would pretend we were Ninjas or something and make up this fantasy world.
This game is by far, the weirdest, most boring game ever.
Course I have 80 hours into it because I am trying to at least make it through one dynasty playthrough, but I honestly can't stomach all the non historical randomized not making sense bs.
Biggest one that gets me is how a Priest with like 20 sum learning my court doc, the one who mentored my sons for years, who married me and my queen, the one who has my back with the Archbishop, at the age of 68 turns into a sexual immoral deviant which is a crime, so I lock him up, which doesn't happen I can't change him out, so I resort to killing him, then I am blasted by the Catholic Church at the year of 1100 AD how SINFUL I was in doing so?!? Oh here is the kicker, he was also eating the flesh of humans, and STILL the church hates me after for killing him?
It's stuff like that that make me quit, nothing bugs me more about games then half baked concepts and no actual desire to make something somewhat believable.
Game of Thrones made sense why? how? they built a story, they had a concept of HOW to tell a story, and it landed, it formed the houses, formed the background concepts, sure it jumped all over, but it tied into the plot somehow, ALLOT of creative thought and ALLOT of care went into telling a GOOD story,
I strongly dislike it when games these days have such a good foundation, but the developers just drop the ball when it comes to actually developing a good story that makes the players sink into the game.
Which brings us to MODs....
Developers 'build the foundation, let the players build the rest'
Mods are made
Developers 'Ok, use all the mods that we didn't have to pay for build the rest of the platform around that kind of thing, then charge 27.99 for EACH of the dozen DLCs....
Talk about us consumers bending over and just taking it, well I am sick of this kind of marketing!
I want a game, that I pay full price for, to be at the value of a full priced game period.
From your post you don't like the game period, so it really doesn't matter for you IMO.
And CK3 is totally worth the whole 50 bucks they asking. Personally I didn't bother buying 'royal' edition, that is typically a money grab. CK3 is enough game on it's own for me to wait for a couple DLC to get released and buy in a sweet sale down the road.
Also, as we saw this morning the devs have no problem flipping off their customers, making statements like "we know that you guys are eager for information about the dlc, but we're not ready to talk about that yet." They were ready to take the money for it though. And I find it very interesting that some individuals on here are consistently so blindly willing to defend the grimy, shiesty practices of this developer and then insult and denigrate their fellow players and the valid points and grievances they bring up about the game and the aforementioned developer.
You got the game you paid for, then you decided to pay more for a dlc that will come out at some point... That is 100% on you.
