Why can't I get the reconquista achievement?

I own all of Spain and there isn't any Islamic lands left. This includes even the Balearic Islands. Not sure why?

Is it because France owns a small slab of Barcelona? I am lost, please help on this achievement.

Yes. It's not enough for the achievement that all of Hispania is Christian. You need to have all of the counties inside your realm. Specifically, you need to kick France from Barcelona.
If in doubt, select the area link in the achievement on the options menu. It'd mark all of the land you need to own in order to get it.

What really sucks is I was about to vassalize Barcelona. It was green and I was about to hit the button when France declared and conquered them. I have been allied with France so I guess I will need to break the Alliance.

Successfully assassinating the French King/Queen would end the alliance and maybe break France to more comfortable chunks. Just Sayin'.

France is breaking up right now anyways. Acquitaine owns more of France than France. I hate to break Alliance as it has been a good one but sounds like I need to. I got Alliances with a strong Bavaria, Venice, and England as well.

Once again, though, Paradox achievements make 0 sense. It should have been just drive Muslims out of Spain.

I got screwed in Europa Universalis IV on the AEIOU Austria Achievement. I formed HRE too early and it changed my mission tree.

I had some of their Achievements because they make no sense from a player perspective. For example, in HOI4 Australia conquering Austria. Some of them flat out go against any kind of decent strategy for playing that Civ.

I got it yesterday. (with sibling rivalry)
After getting "Mother of Us All", doing the same thing over an empire only instead of an entire continent is pretty easy.

Yeah, I got the Sibling Rivalry yesterday as well. GJ to you as well. I only have 30 hours in this game and already got 1/4 of the achievements.

I'm having troubles with "Mother of us all", but that's probably just my OCD and not due to the achievement difficulty level. I'm angry quitting every time the first succession messes up my realm. I guess I'm greedy - I want Daurama to form my witch coven, custom unholy religion and my first empire before passing away.

Got Mother of Us All. Given up on the witch coven. Except several annoying first successions, It was not hard. Just exhausting. I'm going next to "Kings to the seventh generation" which supposed to be the hardest achievement from the great adventurers start group. Wish me luck.

Is it supposed to be hard "Kings to the seventh generation" ? I got it, and found it pretty easy. There's just the kinda boring start as you're a kid, and the Viking lord next door that can be annoying. I just gradually expanded my territory, then I claimed the king's throne, and with pretty much all the vassals behind me, he accepted my request without even fighting lol.

The annoying viking achievement was pretty easy. Main difficulty there was to assassinate the King of West Francia before he assassinates you.
