Well... It's only is a flavor pack. Few events and random "invasions" in the form of spawned few thousands troops without country. So, probably don't.

Personally i like it, it adds in a bit more than just random events and invasions. All content is of course focused on a norse lord. so if you like playing as a norse lord than i would recommend it. If you never play as a norse lord than dont bother.

a few examples of what it adds, It adds in 2 new dynasty legacy trees, a few more cultural armies for the lords of norse culture to chose from and it allows you to start an invasion of another lords realm, leaving your old realm as independent.

Doesnt add much but if you like vikings then yes.

It really depends whether you play Norse often or not. If you do it has some nice features but nothing groundbreaking. If you don't play them often I would wait a sale.
My biggest gripe with the DLC is also linked to the update is that duels are super rare. I was really expecting to play a mighty Norse warrior king but there's no battle events where your character fights. It's a missed opportunity imo.

@babarigo, you can manually challenge people to a duel, that makes it pop up a bit more often. Im not sure what he requirements are for it, i do know that it works on your rival.

It is really good. For 7€ almost theft. I think they could have sold just the outfits, hairstyles, music etc for that price.

But there is a lot of gameplay content as well. Thing is that the Norse were already playable since release, but with less - or without - distinct features/mechanics/style.

So this will give the same complaints by the whiners and trolls in all future flavor packs.

I'm on year 50 of playing a Swedish emperess cannibal witch shieldmaiden Flykyir and I have had a total of 4 duels - 2 were people mad about an execution/revocation who challenged me and 2 were random criminals I could challenge as 'trial by combat' - not sure why you'd feel the need to fight a guy to the death cuz he banged a random courtier out of wedlock on the other side of Scandanavia but you can.

Duels suck though IMO. Super random - always seem to end in 'sudden death' (lol) and to be more about the rolls than actual prowess score. I lost and died to a 6-8 prowess ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with 20something after getting all 'good' rolls. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yeah, having absolutely no battle events is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ lame. The CK2 events where you corner a guy and murder him in single combat are amazing and so fun - in Ck3 you literally do nothing as a ruler apparently but sit in the command tent and smoke a fat one. Meanwhile your knights get to rip peoples heads off and hearts out while going berserker. :lunar2019deadpanpig:

I'm happy with the dlc but definitely duels/single combat is huge letdown and missed opportunity for some metal viking ♥♥♥♥.

Yeah i agree, it's really lame. This is why i play in debug mode. I often duel enemy knights on the battle field.

If you want to be an extremely OP tribal culture thats able to raid/sail across the sea for pretty much free its amazing.

Norse start with multiple new cultural innovations that are OP as well as getting access to 2 new dynasty legacy trees. The Pillage tree in particular is ridiculously powerful once you hit the 4th tier and get gold for kills while battling.

If you aren't playing Norse you'll essentially get to fight against them when they aren't fighting eachother (assuming you play in an area of the map near them). Dealing with the new Norse invasion feature can be frustrating or a lot of fun depending on your mindset.

A cool part is that the invasions can happen at various intervals depending on what you set the game option as. I believe there are 3 different options that allow for achievements (yearly, 5 years and 10 year invasions). Yearly invasions will make your game completely insane as its armies of 5-9k usually.
