Mongols
So, I started a game at Mongolia to become Gengis Khan, unite the tribes and conquer the universe lol. First ruler forms the Kingdom of Mongolia, second ruler gets independence and after a few years, at age of 39, becomes Gengis Khan, gets huge army, conquer 2 kingdoms and die at age of 45 of natural causes... That's ok, I have 3 sons, all landed and game is looking good but and theres a huge but you lose ALL special troops on succession lol.

WTF Paradox. Why cant we have nice things on your games? That bloody army I got when becoming Gengis Khan shouldnt stand down on succession. Also, why dont Mongols start with ultimogeniture, since it was their succession law?

The Mongol Empire didn't use ultimogeniture. Genghis was succeeded by Ogedei who was his third son with Börte, his Khatun/Empress (well second maybe given the question marks around Jochi their 1st). Tolui (the father of Kublai) was his fourth son with her. They had an elective monarchy. It ultimately crippled the empire. Whenever the Khagan died, all the Khans and Chieftains had to return to Mongolia for a Kurultai. They also had a system of appanage which wasn't too far from confederate partition. For example Genghis' land was split up amongst his primary children when he died so Tolui's ulus (inheritance) was Mongolia and Jochi's was the western part from the Ural river to the Irtyish.
EDIT: When you're having as many kids as these guys are having, ultimogeniture's probably a bad idea. You'd always have child rulers.

I don't really see an issue. The Mongol empire was significantly weaker after Genghis' death than it was before, why shouldn't that be reflected in game?

Besides, you shouldn't need to rely on the event troops, you should be able to conquer enough land with them quick enough that you're now strong enough to proceed with further conquests without them.

I think the mongol part is the place holder at current ck3 developing stage.
They just merged the old early patch ck2 mongol decision into ck3, maybe they will add something new in future dlc, the ck2 horselord dlc is nearly the end of lifecycle of ck2.

I'd like to see the Mongols developed a little.

Seems like the Mongols need to be dealt with in at least four phases:
1. Pastoral Nomadism
2. Conquest
3.. Settlement
4. Cultural Assimilation

As pastoral nomads they were subject to fluctuating climate conditions and the erosion of pasture by Chinese expansion and wall building programmes. Inter-tribal conflict was the usual solution to these stressors.

The conquest phase was an alternative solution - unite and strike outward. Genghis could sustain a horde of disparate tribes so long as they were conquering with the booty kept flowing.

The settlement phase could be marked by when they put down geographical capitals. The effort then was to retain control over many scattered vassals, trade routes and communications over vast distances.

After only a few generations the Khanates were effectively Feudal and taking on the cultures of their conquered regions. (Kubalia Khan to the east, and later Moguls to the south)

A remarkable speed of cultural evolution from their starting point as nomadic tribal herders and border raiders.
