Knights won't fully raise
Hey all. I've encountered an issue where when I raise my armies I'm only getting a handful of the knights I have available. I have 17 knight slots, and they're all assigned beforehand, but no matter what I do when I raise my armies only a few knights will raise per army. I currently have three separate armies raised with only 2 or 3 knights each, so I'm only getting about half of the knights I should have available. This happened in my last war as well and I thought it was just a glitch, but it seems like it's become a permanent problem. Looking at different forums it seems like this is a problem other people have been experiencing for awhile as well. Some have suggested manually editing individual knight source codes but that's something I'm not very familiar with, and when I try to look at the save file 90% of it is an utterly incomprehensible gobblygook of random symbols. It's pretty game-breaking because it has completely ruined war for me and is putting me at a significant disadvantage for what I'm trying to accomplish. Is there anything I can do or any previous version I can go back to to at least be able to continue my game? I've put in too much time to want to just give up and start over. I'm playing on the most current version (1.4.4) and have tried going back to 1.3.1 as well and get the same thing. Thanks for any help!

same problem here....totally game breaking
Gobbledegook is cause the file should be opened in a specific bit of software, Ask mod creators and they'l tell you what to use. I haven't tried any PDX modding yet so cant tell you I'm sorry.

You need restore an old backup saving before the bug or you can't raise the knight in future game.
It's the stupid bug for almost 1 yr.

"incomprehensible gobblygook of random symbols"

The save files are compressed.

Option 1: Only edit Autosaves which arent compressed

Option 2: Unzip the save. You will get a folder with a file called gamestate. Open that with any Text Editor. When you save your changes, Save it to the Save folder and simply add a .ck3 extension
