Help with King Vassal Leaving Realm after Inheriting other Kingdom
I'm playing as a feudal emperor and have a king level vassal that leaves my realm to go over to the Byzantine's after he inherits Krete and can't for the life of me understand why he's not staying in my realm and bringing Krete with him. I generally have a good understanding of how the game mechanics work, but can't figure this one out. Anybody

For a bit more background, I'm playing as Sardinia and have conquered most of Europe at this point. Byzantines are one of the larger rivals left. My emperor had a bunch of daughters, and so I was able to matrilineally marry four of them to the grand sons of some of the king level vassals in the Byzantine Empire.

Once those sons married and joined my realm, I set them up as kings. In the first case this went as planned, and I was able to bring the Kingdom Pontus into my empire. But not with Krete, it's going the other way... and I can't figure out the reason why. My crown authority is High, and the Vassal is the king of Tahert. I also don't even have the "lose land" alert here, so I'm a little worried its a bug?

Would really appreciate any insight or ideas about how to resolve. Otherwise I think my only option is to revoke his title to minimize the damage and not lose a quarter of Africa.

Did your king vassal actually left and made you lose land? Countless times the game warned me that i was gonna lose land cuz one my vassal's titles were gonna be inherited by someone outside the realm even tho my crown authority was high or absolute so i just ignore cuz game clearly dont know what its talking about

Ive never personally had a situation where one king vassal of mine inherited another kingdom outside my realm and left cuz of it... its usually a smaller title which brings more land to me, so it works well but in your case tho ive no idea cuz never experienced it
Yup, up and left taking his current Kingdom with him over to the Byzantine empire. Their crown authority is Autonomous Vassals so really no clue what's going on.

I have the same issue. I have an empire and I get a warning about a count vassal of valencia leaving my empire as soon as he inherites the Kingdom of Jerusalem, Unless I grant him an equal tier. So I grant him the kingdom of Valencia and he keeps leaving my empire with the tilte of valencia with him. Even with absolute crown authoritiy. Can't seem to understand why. Warning of losing the vassal goes away when I grant him the kingdom of Valencia.
Yeah, that's the exact sane issue I'm having. After a couple of attempts, I was able to force it the way it was supposed to be lining up a different inheriter. Had to excommunicate, imprison and execute them so that another family member ultimately inherited both while staying in my realm. Still don't know what the core issue was though and still worried it'll come back around.
I even tried giving the vassal king more kingdoms so he would have more kingdoms then he would get. Never had this issue with a duke or count.
