War keeps ending inconclusively
I am an Emperor bordering the Mongol Empire - of the great Khan.

I hold their dejure capital - and have done for over 200 years. I'd like the Kingdom of Mongolia, but can't get claims to that.

But, I have as vassals 2 brothers of the Khan who have claims on his empire and the kingdoms under his empire.

I push 1 of the brothers claims for a kingdom (not Mongolia) and win - great, no problem.

But, when I try to push the other brothers claim for Mongolia, the war ends inconclusively - 3 times now.

The 1st time we had 70% warscore and the Khan asked for white peace - I said no, then the war ended. I thought the claimant had died, as that ends these type of wars, but no, he's very much still alive, still my vassal and still has claims.

So, I press the same claim for a 2nd time and this time we get 90% warscore and the war ends inconclusively. Again, he's still not dead, he's still my vassal and he still has the claim.

I try a 3rd time (3rd time lucky, huh?) and what do you know it ends in the same manner.

Why is this war ending in this manner? There's no explanation about WHY the war ends inconclusively, just that it does.

Also, I am under no truce with the Khan when the war ends - is this normal for an inconclusive war? I can keep declaring war on him with no penalty.

Inconclusive war means the said war goals is not valid anymore thats why there is no truce. And for the reason it happen its hard to say cause there is so much things that can make a war inconclusive you gotta keep a eye out for everything. The claim for mongolia it's a empire or a kingdoms and are you an emperor or a king ?

The claim in the war is the Kingdom of Mongolia.

I am an Emperor and the vassal I'm pushing the claim for is a count in my realm.

However, I've now had a 4th war and this time the war ended in my favour and the dude is now my vassal. The only thing different is that the Khan I won against in the 4th war is the son of the Khan I had been fighting in the 3 previous wars.

This new Khan has lost the Greatest Khan label which his father (and grand-father) had. Maybe it's that, I dunno? That label didn't stop me winning the Kingdom of Khazarria (sp?) from him before. Seems strange to me.

Anyway, Kingdom of Mongolia is now my vassal. Now all I need to do is find a reason to revoke it and we're good.
