"Your daughter and woman" - No children being born!
Obviously a bug that you can take close relatives as concubines although your faith forbids this - can anyone confirm that this never results into children being born?

Had been playing a random ruler last night who was a Chieftain in Mongolia, probably the worst ruler i ever had - Craven (sin for tengris), Homosexual (25% to seduce), so bad stats that he a domain limit of 2, already married to the worst wife i ever had, and two daughters at the tender age of 13 or ~10.

Then i thought, "well it cannot get any WORSE", so i took the daughters as concubines.
20 years later i was already King, and neither the daughters nor wife had given birth to a single son. Then dumped the daughter-bines, married them to smart guys and they got immediately pregnant.

Proof or coincidence?

Sounds more like your guy was shooting blanks.

If neither the daughter/concubines or wife could get pregnant then you'd assume it's because of the man, rather than the women.

Plus your character was homosexual, which means he wasn't mating with them as frequently so the chance of children goes down. I believe you also lose the seduce/romance options with them, etc.

Definitely a bug or bad luck - Ive had kids through close family concubines in my previous playthrough

Happened with my current ruler. He had both daughters as concubines and even got a son from that relation. Looks weird lol "Son and grandson". Got good stats though both intelligent and Handsome. So yeah you can get children from incest relations.

Was that with a faith which allows close family incest?

No (Asatru) only cousine marriage. No incest secret etc. I guess it is a bug.

Okay then this was apparently the ruler's fault. Already spent his ammunition on those 2 daughters, i assume.

Well the ability to take anyone as concubine is definitely a bug, because the interface to "take concubine" does properly filter out characters you also couldn't marry based on your faith's incest laws. Only the direct interaction on a character portrait allows this.

I think of it as a loophole. Yeah I can't have a daughter-wife, that would be immoral. But technically she's not my wife so that's fine with Odin. And hey, I even let her go and marry once she pops out my future granddaughter and daughter-concubine.
