I did not know that there are mods that are compatible. Care to elaborate with a few examples?
@ nosuchname
Didn't meant to imply that the game is dull, this was more of a general example. I would go for some rare achievements. This may take a few tries, but once you found a good strategy it's not that hard. I recently did Wily as the Fox. Looks hard but actually quite easy, you don't need to be an independent ruler.
It's honestly quicker to list what isn't.
Anything that modifies files in any of the following in the game folder are not achievement compatible.
"common" directory and all sub directories
"events" and all sub directories
"history" and and all subs
"map data" and all subs
"gui" and all subs
"localization" and all subs
The file "paths_checksummed.settings"
It leaves things like graphics mods, music, sounds, and fonts so long as they don't also mod anything in the above list.
it would be nice to get achievements too but im perfectly okay without them
i prefer having more fun lol
just about any game will not have features that 99% of the players will be like "why is this not a thing? did yall ran outta money or something?" thats where mods come in, to fix things, make it better, or give yourself enormous advantages against the AI if you're into that sorta thing, but moderation is key is how i do things - but i dont judge, as long as you're having fun, its what matters, its what games are for anyway lol
achievements, I dislike mods. The only mods I would use ever ina game are cosmetic but I prefer that the developer covers that need and not modders
Of the top of my head there are 3 i can think of that i really like
With this one AI is no longer a dead weight in war as allies, they still way off from being perfect but at least now they actually help and make a difference (and steal your sieges lmao)

This one i discovered recently and i really like the freedom it gives you about your house, being able to adopt people with trats you want into your house and they considered your son/daughter and can select THEM as heir too

i think these ones are the ones i most see in effect as i play and i personally think they're worth getting it, but ofc depends on your gameplay tastes too
One thing that confuses me though... I did look at some mods for visuals, menu tweaks, etc, a week or so ago... But even those disable achievements? Don't understand that when the actual game play is not being modified. My previous Paradox experience is with EU4 and mods that change visuals in that don't disable achievements, so don't get why it's different with CK3?
yea, unfortunately even cosmetic mods disable achievements, at least the ones i came across of do
Personally, I do not care about achievements.
I started gaming on the very first console in 1972.
We did not have achievements & I am a product of my environment.
It is more enjoyable to create your own personal mods and/or download other mods in order to play the way how you want too.
