but i agree it makes no sense at all - AI with those set of traits shouldnt be blackmailing no one, specially not someone who has way, way more power than them.
quite immersion breaking if you ask me - whats the point of AI having a "personality" if they're not gonna act like it
there is this more options mod where you can restrict the ai behaviour exactly like you said.
Sort of feels like a coup out.
When a deceiving or ambitious AI acts against you, people say "Pay attention to their traits and play around them, l2p", but if AI act opposite of their traits "They can act against themselves like the player to make it fair".
So what's the point then lol
People tried to argue with me that they'd sudoku themselves with tyranny by delanding you to game over because of their personalities, yet it's clear the AI is bias to the player independent of personality.
There are so many keyboard warrior neckbeards in this forum willing to argue the game makes sense with the AI bias against the player and you need to 'git gud', but it's clear that there is lazy AI scripting at play.
Artificially making a game hard by targeting the player is not good AI.
could you please link it? i'd like to take a look
This would only make sense if the player would be forbidden to do certain actions because he has a certain trait. For example: If your character is shy, the feasting option would be greyed out.
Of course that would be quite impractical (and everybody would hate it). This is why you "only" get stress if you take a move against the traits of your character. Needless to say, this applies to the ai as well.
Or tell me, if you have a shy character: Do you really never make a feast? Do you never interact? Of course not. There are many situations were it is necessary to accumulate some stress.
Thus, the chance for certain actions is certanly lower with certain traits, but it is rarely ever zero.
CK2 traits were (more) dynamic, which is more realistic and fun imho.
Like someone mentioned earlier: the a.i. found a weakness and tries to exploit it.
Same as it does against other NPC's, same as player does against a.i.
Just because your shy doesn't mean you can't speak up, just because you are content doesn't mean you will not grab an easy W.
On a sidenote; why is it nowadays having an other opinion equals fanboying or hating?
Why dismiss something simply cuz it aint fitting your perspective/experience/narrative?
He/she/it feels terrible about it though:-)
Me: So my bishop, how much longer for that last fabrication claim to come in on my traitors uncle who's in jail?
Bishop: 30 days sir.
Me: Excellent.
awkward - i have that mod and been using it for quite some time and what i mentioned in my other comment still happened so, rip
You have to give him that, his priorities were in the right place:-)
