See? I always told them CK3 was realistic.
i use a mod where i can set any trait i want as virtue of a faith so i have witch characters gain +20 opinion for it being a "blessed virtue" lol
Witchcraft was more involved in CK2. In that game if you had the Monks and Mystics DLC you could join a Satanist Cult whose members preformed human sacrifice, cast spells to curse, possess, or their enemies, summoned demons, carried out disturbed hedonistic orgies, and sometimes traveled around murdering civilians. Of course if you wanted to you could choose to just turn off witchcraft altogether.
In CK3 witches don't do any of those things. I find this a little disappointing because the way CK2 portrayed it helped you understand why the medieval mind was so afraid of witches. Instead of just saying "haha past people so stupid" it forced players to put themselves in the shoes of the people of the age.

Hostile Scheme Resistance: +10.0
Except witches didn't actually exist and witch hysteria killed a lot of innocent people, so they were stupid.
