Plus no map painting makes map feel larger and more dynamic.
I played all of last weekend and the game is just not there yet.
I could sit here and list all of the things that did not work, not work well, or not make sense.
Yes, the graphics are nicer, but so many of the game mechanics do not work as well as CK2. I was particularly disappointed by how messed up and not working correctly the vassal system is compared to CK2, and inheritance is a giant PITA in CK3 (primogeniture not until 1200 ad? really?) and the crusade system did not work very well at all.
There were 100 more things that needed more work.
How was this game released in such shape?
It is clear there was nowhere near enough QA testing done.
I am glad I paid for an ~$8 slice to find out how this game was instead of spending $50 myself.
So why should I buy the game now, when the old one is better?
You like CK2 more and there's nothing wrong with that. I feel you're missing out by going back, but it doesn't matter what I think. I'm just some old guy on the internet.
Pray no one misses your sarcasm, or you're gonna get some heat for this one.
That is up to you. If you feel like your money and time is better spent waiting, do so. Yeah, it is pretty bare bones, it is a new release. In 3 years when a lot of filling DLC is it, it will probably be where you want it, so just wait.
