so the few gaelic and welsh counties that were still left at this point didn't get the 1000% conversion speed buff, but scots, anglo saxon and english counties got it and the conversion of those lands took only half a year or so per province
It also works with other Cultures, I did it in my first campaign.
Are you sure it was the counties that were from an other culture and not the rulers ?
It was the Norse/Norwegian counties (I took over Danelaw) that were going slower.
This is not what the tooltip says when you take the option, though.
It's a correct answer, but still seems wrong.
However, looking it over, it's an awful choice anyways as it largely screws over the Irish advantage of small area to develop. Making all of Britannia Irish slows down your "research" speed.
There is so much to this game that seems like it's just not quite right.
Basically I replaced all Norwegians with Irish ones after a civil war shortly after the conquest of Danelaw. There may be something going on I guess, it definitely worked for me.
It should at least grant an empire title choice or grant some +prestige/mo or dynasty renown.
It's pointless like this.
Getting an Empire title is definitely worth it, because then you can have unlimitted kingdom titles under you assuming you don't reach your vassal limit. Brittania itself is probaly the 4th or 5th most powerful empire title in the game.
It's just the reclaim Brittania decision that's awful. You're much better just taking enough of the british isles and just dropping the cash to form the empire title the vanilla way.
Yes but i did it while still being tribal, so now i have to actually micro the sucession. My initial plan was to just de jure everything under kingdom of ireland (it was already half way there anyway except the most recent conquests)

Is there a reason to not do it? I currently don't see anything wrong with it, Is on topic and relevant and part of the point of the comment was how it didn't change after 3 years of being discussed.
I think is much worse to make off topic comments or when someone acts like a moderator when they're not one.
