There's a mod called More Rules or something like that, and there's a game rule that stops internal wars. Check that out if you're not playing Iron Man.
Edit: It may only be a rule to stop EXTERNAL vassal wars. I dunno I allow my vassals to go crazy. Still a great mod worth checking out.

problem is I can not put crown athority to high yet. I play from the earliest date. since you don't have a good answer to "how to remove a claim" I found that you could put one in that has no claims and that will keep the vassal wars from going wild for a bit.

sure you can, if you dont play ironman and uses cheats you can raise authority with it. I would consider this the easiest solution.
