Why can't this vassal be on my council?
What the title says....he was my steward for obvious reasons and now he is simply not an option. I thought it was because he was in battle or an army or something but he isn't....
Any ideas?

Looks like he's not your direct vassal, just a vassal in your realm.

First at all, are you duke of mercia? or are you king of any kingdom titles who own duchy of mercia?
You cant appoint Councillor if you are not his liege

Ah so i can only put people on council who are my direct vassals eh? bummer, no going back now. Thanks for answer
