if you can give yourself the greater title of Emperor, then you can rule multiple kingdoms, but as it is, you'll lose any titles equal to your highest title (king) when you die.
The duchies inside that kingdom will still be subservient to you after your ruler's death as long as you don't actually create the "king" title for that kingdom.
There is a away to avoid it.
You need to be feudal and add feudal elective succession to you kingdom title and select you primary heir as one for second kingdom. 1500 prestige/title
If you're scandinavian or english (or forgot third one) you can add nation specific elective law to titles. Such laws can be added to multiple kingdom titles via decision for a much cheaper price, adding per title is 1500/title while though decision it's only 350 prestige for all.
the thing is, i only have my actual and first kingdom. now i am able to create my second kingdom, so i cannot create en empire yet. If I die, all my titles will be split under my siblings. and i dont think i will get another kingdom before i die...
Then keep everything in one kingdom, even if some of it is not de jure. Going from kingdom to empire has to be done with the right timing. You'll need that second kingdom to create the empire, but leave that to a younger ruler who'll have the time to conquer enough for the empire.
New titles are created on confederate partition only.
You have to deal with it beforehand. I posted how above.
Or you can have a war for the kingdom, you'll get a claim on it on inheritence.
