You play as the heir. If you about to have an issue with heir. The game will notify you with "Heir is of wrong dynasty".

The title needs to be elective. You have to add a law to the title to make it some form of elective succession. Feudal if you're a feudal government or Scandinavian/Saxon/Tanistry if you're the right culture.

Unfortunately elective isn't working properly atm, it's supposed to give your designated heir the capital of the realm but it just gives it to the firstborn of your current ruler.

This is incorrect.

The succession law does not need to be elective to designate an heir action from high crown authority.

If youre running a conventional partition or single heir succession your heir will get the primary titles over siblings. The succession tab will tell you exactly what they stand to inherit and what titles they will not and who those titles go to.

Most likely, it doesn't work as you expect it to be. You will "designate a heir", but this will NOT keep your realm from being partitioned against egigible descendants. The only thing that happens is your "designated heir" gaining the primary chunk of titles - the "primary" itself being very subjective by the game. You're still not guaranteed to get your best lands to the "designated heir".

it wont let u pick any one or really any family so the ability doesnt really work ha its probably only really for the pcs i mean them being blah ha though not sure if they i mean the ability ha i still think most things in the game are strange or dont work well or take to long do takes forever for exp even indviduals with alot of stats it takes them along time to do stuff stuff like patrol or whatever ha silly bean game makers ha.
