How to start a Great Holy War as Head of Faith (Fylkir)?

Hey everyone,

my search so far was in vain. I have no idea how I can call for an Great Holy War. I reformed the norse, germanic Faith (still Warmonger), made myself the Head of Faith. I fulfil all requirements, the wiki and the in-game encyclopaedia describe. However, I don't find the option.

Could anyone describe it?
For one in general, for all Head of Faiths like Caliph, and then if anyone knows the special case of Fylkir.

I read that some even has to trigger it, but i dont know what event or when.

I don't know what triggered it in my game, but I was able to hard start it by just declaring war, and there was a new option (against people who weren't my religion)

Could you give me a rough time frame?
The Fylkir title exists for twenty-ish, thirty-ish years in my game, was passed once.

I started looking into the game files:

1) in ...\steamapps\common\Crusader Kings III\game\common\scripted_triggers\00_great_holy_war_triggers.txt

Warmonger, check.
Temporal Head, check.
Reformed and non-pacifism, check.
Fervor is 100%, check.

2) which leads to ...\steamapps\common\Crusader Kings III\game\common\casus_belli_types\00_religious_war.txt
There is an entry about directed holy wars, which is quite extensive, so I just paste the (for me) relevant stuff:

Looks fine, only unknown: var:variable_ghw_unlocked


3) A developer comment in ...\\steamapps\common\Crusader Kings III\game\events\religion_events\great_holy_war_events.txtIII\game\events\religion_events\great_holy_war_events.txt states that it is unlocked via event.

religion = { exists = var:variable_ghw_unlocked } #Activated by event for every religion.

Furthermore in the same file, in the entry "great_holy_war.0010" the trigger condition states among other tings (the other trigger conditions seem fine, also the internal cooldown timers should not be effective):

		num_county_followers >= 35 # Faith must have at least SOME legitimacy.

And I think there it is. My reformed religion has 28 County Followers so far. You can see that in the Faith window>Other Faiths. In the list, the third line states the county number.

EDIT: I have to keep playing to confirm that but that is a piece of information that should be at least in the Wiki.

Confirmed: The moment the number of counties hit 35, I got the event and access to Great Holy Wars as an option when I want to declare war on someone.

I confirmed it quickly with a savegame duplicate and fast-forwarding.

So, I answered my own question. But I hope with that, I can help the one or other lost soul in this question.
