Need Alliance without Marriage for Multiplayer asap!!!
I played with 2 other friends.

Each one of us chose a county but we could not ally because we had no kids to marry.

So basically we got overrun in the beginning by enemies with 2k manpower. And we couldnt do ♥♥♥♥ cause we cannot ally without marriage.

I think you can click on their portrait and there is an option to 'Offer to Join War'.

I could be wrong but I thought I saw something like that and my neighbor wasn't allied.

Yes I can read, just trying to see if they tried that or not.

I don't feel for you!

Multiplayer and Singleplayer are the same thing just with other players!

You do the same thing in each to protect yourself and keep yourself safe....
Just because it's multiplayer doesn't mean you should get a magic alliance perk....

Their is already a Magic Alliance perk in the Diplomatic Tree FYI you don't need a marraige!

Definitely not. Multiplayer has the same rules as single player and that is how it should be.
So marry your 5 year old daughter to your 60 year old friend if you want a alliance, like we all do.
Or get the " 1 free alliance" perk from the diplomacy tree.

Pretty sure you can just right click their characters and select "Offer to Join War."
Zaidah Sep 8, 2020 @ 3:34pm
In the diplomacy focus (first tree), with only 2 or 3 points in it you can unlock a perk that allows you to form alliance without marriage.

Quoting to confirm. A second pick choice in one of the diplomacy trees lets you offer an alliance without marriage.

Everyone could've fabricated a claim on the same guy and had fun.

Its more convenient like this, like in hoi4 or total war series.

The fact that you cant make an alliance with anyone even when you have 100+ relationship is stupid and should be updated.

Its just not realistic to only form alliances through marriage.

There is not even a pre game option to choose for a coop mode.

isn't it in the diplomacy tree.

Yup! Low investment cost too.

Translation we don't want to figure out how to be good at the game.
We simply want the AI to have no chance against our Human Hug box of doom to make up for our incompetance!

Except that's precisely how it worked back then. There is already a coop mode if you'd like as nothing stops you from cooperating with other people (giving you a major advantage over the AI already), but still, the game follows its rules.

Look up the Perk mentioned above in case, it could be very useful in some instances.
