Dont play on ironman mode

same for me! 2 times now on different starts. It say it saving but when I load in it is from way back in the game.

Are you using any mods? I've had issues with saving in other games where I was using mods. Never had a save issue on ironman in CK3, BUT ironman gets auto-disabled at some point and I can't switch it back on.

Welcome to CK3, when Ironman toggle button is not sticky
you need keep toggle on everytime you want play ironman

That's silly. It should stay on for the entire campaign unless you disable it. Especially considering that achievements are disabled without it.

He must've misread because it does stick through a campaign if you have it turned on.

If you started on Ironman mode, then you must have loaded that game using mods or in debug mode which will disable Ironman so that no-one can cheat to get achievements.

Nope, no mods and I don't even know how to use debug mode. Others are experiencing the same thing, apparently it needs to be re-enabled every time you start the game back up. Which is annoying.

I've had the same looking thing, but it was just in the one save for Ironman mode, there is autosave, and an autosave from different game kept thinking it was the most recent save.

I think we need to clarify what the issue is here.

I've heard of people not realising that the "ruleset" defaults to having Ironman mode off when you start a new game. It happened to me in the second game that I played and was quite annoying. I only realised that Ironman mode was off when I was one county away from becoming the King of Ireland.

But Aurian and others are talking as if they had an Ironman mode savegame and that Ironman mode savegame suddenly became non-Ironman mode when they loaded it from the main menu (or the launcher), without them using debug mode or mods. Is that correct?

NO its not ironman turning off, i was still getting achievments then i quit for the night and save gone.

My game crashed for some reason, it crashed to desktop during an achievement notification, then when i reloaded the ironman game (200 years in ironman Ireland after the tutorial) it loads the game more than 50 years and 2 rulers ago, disheartening, i cant keep playing that save anymore after losing more than a full day of progress....

yep dont bother trying to play ironman mode until you see a patch log address it. Already almost ruined all my hype for the game losing a day worth of gameplay.

This just happened to me as well. SHould have just completed the Carolingian Kings achievement. It was unlocking achievements earlier in this campaign. But when I knocked off my last rival....where's my achievement?
Check to make sure I understand it correctly and...what the heck? Ironman is disabled? NoooOOOooo
