But what if I want negative congenital traits?
So I've been trying to get a ruler who is both albino and scaly (+25 passive dread is kinda cool, plus the rulers look badass imo) and I was looking at the Blood dynasty legacy. While it's great for someone who wants only positive congenital traits, how about people like me who want the negative ones? I'm pretty sure that giant is also considered a negative trait, and some people really want it. I wish that the Blood dynasty legacy allowed for this playstyle, though I will admit that it is obviously really good otherwise.

+1 because I want more of these dread base traits and a way to make a evil house based around dread and murder. So just picture the Bolton's from game of thrones, mainly Ramsay!

Exactly! I think that it could be reworked in some way. Like maybe you can choose one positive congenital trait and/or any number of negatives. Something like that, idk.

Right, but the Blood dynasty legacy has a perk which allows you to choose a congenital trait more prevalent in your dynasty. Only issue being that right before it is a perk that lessens the chances of inheriting bad congenital traits.

Which is of course an issue if you want negative congenital traits for personal reasons.

Still breed them in. You don't need to have the blood dynasty to get traits you want in your family. You have a really good chance of getting a trait if both parents have it. I've been inbreeding for generations now and every single child my ruler spurts out is a beautiful, herculean/amazonian, genius.

Id choose a heir that is a sociopath with serial killer tendencies.

I thought the "Bad" Congenital Traits were only Hideous, Imbecile, and Feeble

I want this too; a clan of scaled, albino giants would be amazing to play as.

You know, the game is actually kind of vague when it comes to this. While those are definitely "negative" traits, there are also those traits like Bleeder (which causes a severe health penalty) Hunchbacked, Wheezing, Infertile, and Spindly which I would consider all negative as well.
scaly & albino belong to the "positive" ones, stuff like "bleeder" though is apparently considered good as well because i got multiple bleeders after picking up that dynasty perk ... in hindsight i'd just avoid that specific dynasty tree.

Short of a mod, you can simply selectively breed. Breeding characters who both have a given trait will automatically give it to all of their children.

Breeding Bleeders

That's a good band name

The game really should distinguish exactly what a "negative congenital trait" is. Also I just want to say that "Bleeder" that is more likely to occur after inbreeding, according to the files.

You got any character that has scaly and albino together? Never seen on, show us a picture.
