Note that you can also assign anyone directly as court physician, you don't have to rely on the random candidates from the "find physician" decision. Anyone with high learning skill can do the job, they will also try to improve their skills via lifestyle.
A lack of one, is probably why everyone complains that all their knights die.
Literally! Had my character as a seducer and then he got some sort of illness, tried to cure it and the physician chopped his balls off lol
There's "seek treatment" option in CK2 but i can't see it in here, am i missing something ?
Yep, when the physician is new, I would not let them do anything. LOL
also if you get intrigue events gifts or the like and your spymaster has the highest intrigue in the realm, take a guess who is trying to kill you.
It is a passive boost - if you look in your Ruler's character window and hover the mouse over the Ill trait it should show you that it is being treated. If it isn't there then there is a seperate icon on the Ruler stat window (I cannot remember what it is - i think it could be a heart icon that comes up on that window to indicate health boosts/debuffs) that will show the level of medical care being administered. When you have a major illness and you are close to death you will get an event option from your physician, provided you have one.
