Blood Legacy is OP
I haven't gotten that far yet, but just in the first generation i managed to get half my children with the intelligent trait from my wife. In the long run it should be possible to get several of the good traits with this, Genius, Beautiful, Divine, on much of your dynasty. If you play a culture that can have several wives it's gonna be even easier. And that's just from the first level legacy!

Now, a question: Does anyone know what the third Blood Legacy "+30% Chance to reinforce congenital traits" actually does?

That should in theory upgrade your Intelligent to Genius (and so on) if it succeeds.

what he said, I managed to get genius trait running down my main family line veins (saying main line as my dynasty has like 6 or 7 cadet branches)

I haven't looked into the code, but does it?
Sounds to me it could also be a higher chance of getting said trait.

Genuine question.

"reinforce" implies it makes it better. Not adds a trait.

in my mind, you need two folks with same trait to reinforce. At least, this is how I did it - paired my intelligent heir with intelligent lady and voila - their 2nd son was genius. Then just a simple matter of getting rid of 1st son and you're good to go :P CK3 is just like CK2 - breeding simulator ;D

It's all a question of chance. You don't need two Geniuses to get a genius kid. Or two giants.

This seems way easier and stronger than what you could do in CK2 though.

The first trait, "Noble Veins" gives you "positive_random_genetic_chance" of 30% and "positive_inactive_inheritance_chance" 30%. So it adds a 30% chance that a random already preset positive trait gets transfered to the child. And a 30% chance that it gets transfered but not activated. So it can pass it on to its own children but doesn't profit from it.

The second trait "Convergent Blood" gives you "genetic_trait_strengthen_chance" of 30%. Given the name it is an improved stat. So level 1 -> level 2.
