The Anglo-Saxons were a cultural group who inhabited England from the 5th century. They comprised people from Germanic tribes who migrated to the island from continental Europe, their descendants, and indigenous British groups who adopted many aspects of Anglo-Saxon culture and language.
It didn't mean much in terms of games mechanics (other than longbows) but it was something I really enjoyed doing as a 'RP' and 'historical' journey.
Just curious if the same thing exists here as it will sway my decision to start as Norse or A-S.
I'm by no means an english historian and have little idea of a melting pot terminology, but the best bet would be just fast forwaring the starting date and checking

Official wiki mentions English culture and says that some cultures will split over a certain time period.
EDIT: The requirements seem to be that you need to hold the Kingdom of England and your Realm Capital needs to be in England.
FreedomPuppy, do you know if being Norman is also a requirement?
* Adult
* Own the Kingdom of England title
* Realm capital is in Kingdom of England
* Frankish culture group
Also if you want to become Norman beforehand:
*At peace
* Own and fully control the Duchy of Neustria
* Norse culture
* At least one county de jure part of Duchy of Neustria has French culture
* Norman culture doesn't already exist
