Purple flashing border
Anyone know what a flashing purple border means around a kingdom in this case.
cant seem to find anything special in interactions.
it just sits there and flashes purple.

I think it means there may be some sort of internal conflict going on within it's borders.

but what does that have to do with me?
and there is only one. im sure there would have been thousands of internal flashes if that were the case

I had this in my latest game, it seems it was an indication of the province holder fighting against his liege. Though why it flashes to let me know I am still trying to work out.

Maybe so you can take advantage if you want? Wars in this game don't end because of ruler changes, meaning even if they resolve their dispute before you win, you can keep fighting. They will likely be very weak due to their civil war, meaning easy pickings.

I am sure there is a better way, but, track down an army in the field. Mouse over and dive into who is leading it, find that ones lord and check the tab underneath and to the right of his stats, it shows their diplomacy thingies.

It should let you know what war they are engaged in and why. Pretty sure it's almost always inter-vassal fighting with someone being upset over who holds the duchy title.
