Why this game doesn't have Goguryeo kingdom ?
I'm a fan of history of korea and how it got formed. I've been watching a lot of history from korean dramas and I was wondering why Goguryeo is not on this game ?

With a bit of luck, we're going to get China, Japan and Korea too.

Personally, I'd like to see the Americas but that probably won't ever happen :(

Yea I hope they going to add as DLC so I can buy the game.

They have Chinese language, they have Korean translation and you see one of the four edges are torn. So I'm sure China and Korea will come. But I think it will be more then one year

I second this! I hope it comes as DLC later on. :)

Korea?

Because there is another game they have made for that. It's called Europa Universalis, but that was probably for Joeson.

Yea I played Europa Universals but is not as old era of Goguryeo.

I think the map, as it looks at release, is mostly made to give more "breathing space" to the mongols/turks, tibetians and indians. In CK2 this was cut off in the middle, only showing half of mongolia and tibet. Making these highly interesting cultures far less powerful than they should be.

A far east themed DLC is highly anticipated by the community, as it seems. So Korea or even Japan might be there one day.

Performance limitation, The fact that ck2 simulates every character's action instead of just countries like eu4 makes it harder to have the whole map in one game, When paradox added india to ck2 a lot of people couldn't even play the game because of the lag.

Paradox would probably expand the map even more because ck3 is a lot more stable then ck2, But i doubt they would go past china. Having china alone in would break the game. it's too stronk and runs differently from traditional feudalism in mena and europe.

The time period of CK3 starts just before China split up after the Tang Dynasty. It wouldn't be one giant country tbh.

A) CK doesn't include Korea
B) That kingdom apparently only existed from 37 BC–668 AD, CK3 starts in 867AD

It would very, very quickly become one. And the way China has historically governed their lands doesn't really work at all within the Crusader Kings engine to begin with.

Edit: Let me rephrase. While we might see China in the game, it is highly unlikely to be a playable empire in any shape or way. It will most likely appear like the Papacy or Venice with limited interactions like in CK2.

Naw that will be for something like EU5 unfortunately. That said China and Japan and maybe the Southern part of Asia might make it. Otherwise I dont know how they could accurately simulate the Mongols conquering one and not the other. But this was roughly the same extent that CK2 had so who knows.

It perfectly works with Ck3. Lots of individual warlords, intrigue & dynasties.
