Yeah, same here. Do you also keep forgetting that you can move the map with A/S/W/D? I'm really hoping that the events settings was an oversight and will be added back in soon. On the Paradox forums there are a lot of people asking about it. The more I play, the more I get used to it, but it's going to be really hard once I get a larger domain and have multiple armies marching, fighting and siegeing. With just a single army right now it's manageable but still annoying.
I did at first because on CK2 'W' always switched to the diplomatic mode, but I'm starting to get used to it myself. Overall, I enjoy the QoL changes and the UI but I do wish we could have more customisation options. Like say, disable certain alerts across saves, or being able to move event windows to the side so they can be more easily discerned.
Totally agree with you. I'm finding the UI to be pretty good but I wish we could customized the size of each window rather then all or nothing (using the UI scaling). I like the leader box big (at 200%) but want everything else to be smaller.
Same here actually hahah. One thing I also miss, in case any devs or community managers read these posts, is the ability to sort out your courtiers/vassals by different elements like opinion (highest-lowest), rank, and so on.
Actually this is also one of my biggest issues with CK3, that they implemented the multiplayer-friendly Stellaris method for pop-ups.
In CK2, all pop-ups would just hard freeze the game until you made a decision. While in CK3 and Stellaris, only some pop-ups force the freeze, but most can be canceled.
For example when you press pause in the same moment something important pops up, the game just keeps running. Initially i lost months at crucial moments because of this.
