It is possible to become an alternative Genghis Khan as a Mongol character from these dates, though.
1) A free titular Mongol Empire, which probably prevents the real Gengis from appearing later (as in CK2)
2) a crazy amount of support-free, high quality event troops
3) a casus belli without cooldown which allows to invade kingdoms for 100 prestige, giving you all the duchy- and kingdom titles (so you don't have to create them like after conquest/holywar)
4) random vassals, as anyone can submit voluntarily to avoid getting annihilated
5) a buff with something like +30 dread, scheme resistance, and other goodies
6) high partition succession
7) etc.
That is cool that you can become the greatest Khan either way. But it is a little bit more fun to play through a game where you get to be the actual historical figures and roleplay from there so to speak. Good to know either way.
