Playing offline?

With ck2 you could play the game even if you didn't have an internet connection.

So far, I can get ck3 to start unless I have an internet connection. Am I missing something?

Yes you can.

You have to run it with a connection the first time so Steam can verify you bought the game. After that, you should be fine.

What does it say when you press Play in the launcher?

Yes...I just tested and I can play offline now.

Any Idea why the saves don't go to cloud anymore? I can't play my ironman game at home now because my laptop (which I'm on right now) will not save to the cloud.

Do you also have the savefile on your rig? It's in:

Steam\userdata\Your Steam ID\1158310\remote\save games

I'm thinking it may have gotten corrupted, but that's just a guess. Did you have any crash? There may be a solution in that case, if yes there is a backup save file in:

\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings III\crashes

I still have the game on my laptop and can continue. I have the same game from 3 days ago saved to the cloud. Both will start. If I play on my laptop I get my current game...if I start my home computer (same Steam account) I get the cloud save from 3 days ago.

even if you upload your game manualy to the cloud by the way Latium described, next time vou save it still again is just saved on the computer and not uploaded again

Edit: I remember someone once had a similar issue in EU4, what they did was they copied the backup save file from the folder I posted above, then pasted it in the save games folder in the Documents, and then it automatically updated the Cloud save. Different game but may be worth to try.
