Norman Yoke achievement confusion

I conquered most of the English isles, and of course own all of England.
All my direct Vassals in England are English but no achievement popping.

Does it have to be EVERY single vassal including vassal of vassals?
Does it have to be vassals outside of the Kingdom of England, such as vassals in Ireland and Scotland Area?

"Any de jure vassal is English"

So if you kept Normandy, some counts vassals belong de jure to you and have to be english too, or you can give away that title to someone ( doesn't have to be an english since normandy isn't de jure part of england ). Same with counts in ireland and scotland if you have a title above them that makes you their rightful liege.

Anything Under Kingdom of England is English
Only things in other territories such as Normandy , Ireland and so on are not but i don't hold any titles there.

Don’t have any title equal or above Kingdom of England and all the vassals directly under me are English.

Moving the Realm Capital within the de jure territory of Kingdom of England enables the Embrace English Culture decision. A strategy you can use to get this fast is to apply the "North Korea" strategy, where you imprison and revoke all land from all your vassals until none are left anymore, in which the achievement will be triggered and earned.

also wondering about the viability of this after the patch. has anyone gotten the achievement since the patch came out? if you did, did you do this silly named north korea strategy or what? i had gotten william to nearly a decade beyond his natural historical death yet even then only perhaps half, maybe a little less, of england was showing as "english" on the cultural map, yet virtually none of my vassals or their vassals were showing as english culture.

i'm partly tempted out of bitterness to not go for this achievement again since it requires this. its a ridiculous requirement to begin with, since the norman conquest didn't suddenly result in a native population of millions of people along with their new foreign rulers coming together as one united culture. also, the picture for the achievement. that's really the best imagery they could come up with for such an incredible event? disappointed about this

No idea how to pull this off

The NK strat could still work, they patched it by desactivating the buildings when you have too many titles ( after a while ). So your income and troops might take a hit, careful with revolts and norse.

Also the cultural map show the culture of the land, not of the rulers, and it's not a requirement for this achievement to convert counties. I don't even think it'd be possible since we have to do this while William is alive.

I did it before the patch using the NK too. It was not my intention, I wanted to remove everybody to be safe and give away everything to english people, and since my actions were tyranical I decided to keep the titles while doing it, but the moment I had no vassals the achievements showed up.

Welp i did the North Korean strat by just literally owning everything and it worked.
This would of been near impossible in a normal playthrough even if you go for 1463 ending and is a terrible achievement.

For those who are also stuck this is what i did.

1)I rerolled the start until i got the right Martial path mostly unlocked for William,gives you extra knights and some battle advantages.
2)I created Maximum men at arms that i could with the starting funds.
3)Married off all of my children to the most powerful leaders and called them to assist me as much as the fame allowed it.
4) Once you win England you get about 1/2 of it under your control.Make an English city your Capital and convert.
5)Try to revoke a a title from the other Duchy controlling the other half, has 0% chance and almost every single one in your Kingdom will go to war with you, maybe other than the Normady vassals.
6)Call all your alliances for help, will be free now as it's defensive wars. Continue having your armies raised and fight through everything, it doesn't matter if you have minus funds you can still do defensive wars.
7)Once you win everyone participated is in jail so you can freely revoke everyones titles.
8)You'll need to revoke Republic titles as well, mayors and such. This is done freely with no real penality at this point.
9) If for some reason normady vassals attack you, just once again call all your allies and stomp them, might as well revoke all their titles too.
10)Boom achievement unlocked in about 30ish minutes.

Also the branch that allow you to marry with people above you is great. I married my daughters to Sweden and Denmark I believe, mostly to call them and prevent them joining Norway.

it seems like this is probably the only way to do it. thats b.s. to have to go through that for 1 stupid looking achievement. they could have at least made the picture cool.
