Why is the chance of children in so may marriages zero?

Because of bad fertility on either side of the marriage? Or because the woman is too old to bear children?

I've been filtering to fertile only and they're all in the 20s... hmmm

If you can only get 20's then pick one and keep giving her a ride, see if it works.

Had this same problem. Not chaste, not old. Chance of children is None for both of my brothers with all spouses.

It would be nice to have an answer to this. Anyone figure it out?

Check your character's sexuality and that of your spouse

Basically every starts at 100% and it goes down with age and women also lose 5% fertility with each child. Assuming the wiki is accurate, women 46 or older are no longer able to have children. Might be possible if they have traits that add to their fertility though, not sure on that.

Okay,

Two people, one 26 years old, one 22. Both Hetero. Chance of Children = 0.

I've only seen one match where the Chance of Children was Medium. These are lowborn courtiers. (Happens with all lowborn courtiers so far, not sure about Dynasty members, haven't had a kid grow up yet.)

Bug? Anyone else having this problem?

I've been wondering the same!!!!! I hope this is revealed soon. I hope this is just a bug and not some way to population control...

I have this issue too;

Sorting out a nephew with a wife - she has great congenital traits except she is also blind. Blindness isn't congenital and it also doesn't convey any negative fertility or attraction stats - so, still a good match to produce possible beautiful, intelligent babies. Aside from her blindness, both are healthy, young and hetero ... but when I arrange the marriage it says 0% chance of having kids.

Perhaps of some relevance: The Blind trait was not coming up in the spouse selection window - I noticed she was blind because the actual character was wearing a blindfold. The Blind trait came up in the character screen, just not the marriage/spouse menu.

I married them anyway to see what happens. The nephew isn't anything great so if they can't produce offspring then it's no huge loss.

Same issue, even with lustful characters so this feels like a bug to me

women start losing fertility irl in their mid-late 20s and are almost completely infertile at their late 30s to mid 40s
in game i think it scales somewhat the same so you wanna marry young, always.

I know it sounds obvious but did you check to see if they had the sterile trait? I got into a game and realised my heir was sterile and that's what showed "no chance of them having children".
