Crusader Kings III review, from CKII players

So far the reviews I'm seeing on YouTube are from players who have never played Crusader Kings II before, or only played it in passing. Are there any reviews from seasoned gamers of the previous game, or even a review that directly compares the two?

In particular I'd like to know whether the base game of CKIII is similar to base game of CII, or if it is more akin to the fully DLC'ed one. What aspects are clearly missing from CKIII compared with the fully DLC CKII?

You have to take IGN reviews with a grain of salt but the reviewer there claims to have played CK2 for over 1000 hours.

Actually their stream series leading up to launch is pretty damn good, showcases systems well etc. I enjoyed it.

I am a subscriber for Old Man Mordaith a man who plays lots of Paradox games, He was playing CK3 and spoke very highly of the game!

Quill18 (who mostly plays Paradox games) basically said on steam (5hrs of CK3) that EU4 is his favourite go to Paradox game but CK3 is giving that a run for its money and has had plenty of other praise for the game as well. Watching his stream I'm pretty impressed with the game so far.

Yeah, I'll echo checking out One Proud Bavarian, he's one of the most prolific CK YouTubers and puts out a lot of great videos. A while back he did a whole series on CK2 where he earned all of the Achievements and has already said he'll be doing the same with CK3.
