Lab upgrade automation chest bug

Bought an automation-chest upgrade a few days ago and now it shows as not upgraded, even though I can still craft it and I have several of those on my farm.
The autochests are also sometimes not working - there are products and machines on the sides, but after the new day starts they just don't do anything sometimes. Sometimes it helps to open and close the chest or to manually start one of the machines, but sometimes it doesn't.

Is the hopefully upcoming fix just for the lab development bug or is there a fix for the general auto chest automation bug being developed? Is there a timeline for when automation is hoped to be fixed?
