Indoor furniture stuck outside on farm

[Nameless]

I was redecorating my house and placed a stand fireplace and round window into my house storage, or so I thought, and went outside on my farm to find those 2 items stuck together. I've tried my golden pickaxe, my iron axe, and dynamite to try and get them off the farm land, but they will not move. Is this a known bug? When I check my house storage, they are no longer in the storage either, so they are just stuck outside.

Friend is having this issue - it's specifically the base house items for her - the starter wardrobe, tv and window. She takes it down and it appears on the same spot outside on the farm where she can't interact with it. Had to restart the game.

With the dresser, she was finally able to remove the old one correctly by placing a new wardrobe down first, elsewhere, and then she could remove the old one. Like it required a wardrobe to exist. Didn't try the same fix with the window and TV so not sure if that would work too.

Hi! I’m having this same issue except I play the game on Xbox Series X. The chimney in my house inventory wound up on my exterior farm. Please let me know if there’s been fix.

Hello there! The team is currently working on a proper fix for this issue. In the meantime, here’s a potential workaround shared by other community members who experienced the same problem—it’s worked for them, and it might work for you too:

- After noticing your indoor decor item is stuck outside on the farm, head back inside your house.
- Enter Decor Mode and click Decorate.
- Try clicking around the house, especially the spot where you originally placed the item before putting it into storage. (If you’re not sure where that is, try clicking around different areas)
- The stuck item should reappear.
- Re-place the item anywhere inside the house.
- Click Finish to exit Decor Mode.
- Check your farm again—your stuck item should now be gone!
