Tree Planting Year 2

I've tried a few times now and i really don't want to skip any events but the i can't get past the first stage of the event. It's the second tree festival and I clear out all the trash, logs and stumps but it says i have cleaned 112/113 only. I've tried swinging at the ground at random areas with the hoe and axe but nothings happening at all. I have redone this day 5 times now, trying different things each time thinking it might be something i'm doing wrong that triggers a bug but I can't find any source of the problem.

Does anyone know how to fix this or if there's a secret location where the final trash is hiding and I just keep looking over it
