I just completed the Cherry Blossom Festival and used a gold quality lobster. I got the Love dialogue from Judge Ross "Wow... This soup tastes AMAZING! All of you have made a masterpiece! Great job, Starlet Town!". However, no merit point was rewarded for winning the festival. It only showed the merit for attending the festival at the end of the day.
