What to do on a birthday?
Hey, I am kinda new to this kind of genre. Am I just supposed to gift that person a random item? (random to find out what said person likes / dislikes) or is there more to a birthday?

I think you just get more points if you gift something at their birthday.

Giving a gift on their birthday awards far more friendship points than giving a gift normally would do, plus there is usually a unique line of dialogue thanking you for the birthday present.
