Fruit trees need a 3x3 space on untilled soil. It's fruit plants that need the 2x2 tilled soil.

You can plant fruit trees in the greenhouse, but you cannot use the outside row. Make sure the soil is not tilled and there are no sprinklers or other objects in the way. They'll all fit, but it's going to take up your entire greenhouse.

Yes, like I said, the trees have to be on UNtilled soil. That's tilled soil.

You can un-till your soil by hitting it with a pickaxe. There is also fertilizer there which needs to go. I have 4 fruit trees across the back of my greenhouse. But that's all that will fit if I want some plots for regular crops. Also, if you are planting trees next to other trees or fruit plants, you need the required squares around them as well as around what you are planting. Trees are tricky.

With your setup, you'll only be able to fit four trees in the center, if you move that top right sprinkler.

OK, but you're not listening to what I've already told you.

In both of your pictures, your sprinklers are in the way. They need a FULL, EMPTY, UNTILLED 3x3 space to be planted.
