Trees not growing on my farm
Hi! I wanted to know if this was happening to anyone else, my regular trees (pine etc) won't grow past a sapling when I plant them on my farm. I'm trying to have a whole organized forest so I can cut down multiple trees easier.
Has this happened to someone else?

They take a LONG time to grow. Sometimes they stay short for weeks. It's a bit of a pain when you want trees in specific places. How long have you waited?

How far apart are you placing them? I made sure to give each seed two spaces in all directions. I did so and I grew a forest of adult trees. It wasn't overnight, but it seemed reasonably fast enough.

it can take up to 2~3 weeks to grow sometimes, and if you plant them too close together they wont grow as well

I have had this issue as well. I tried to plant several rows of trees as both ornamentation and wood source. Even though each tree was spaced the same amount apart for adequate growth some of them grew to full size eventually and others stayed small. It did take quite a while for the adult trees to grow.

Has anyone else noticed that if you cut down random trees on the rest of the map, they do eventually re-spawn, maybe in the next season? I always feel bad cutting trees in the forest. But mine have come back. Is this the same for others?

it feels like there is a limit to how many trees can be "growing" at the same time. In my older game I tried planting a bunch to use for taps and while the ones that did grow would do so at random rates, other would not grow at all regardless of time. However, once I started cutting down other trees, suddenly the ones that hadn't grown at all started.

Also yes, you can cut down the trees in the fores area and they will grow back. They respawn each season IIRC.

I cut all of the trees and all of the grass at the beginning of each season. It makes it easier to catch bugs and spot forage items.

I remember planting my orchard. Some of the seeds just lay on the ground for weeks before they became little saplings. I thought something was wrong, but it's how the game is designed.

Spacing... You prolly have them planted too close to each other OR too close to a random object, maybe? I had no issues once I placed them about 3 spaces apart.
