How do I remove or destroy Fruit Trees? (SOLVED)

I put a few Fruit Trees in my greenhouse, but now I realise they are in the wrong position, and they are blocking lots of sight-lines, so I can't see the other plants behind them. I need to remove them. I have tried all the different tools and also dynamite. Nothing has worked and now I seem to be stuck with them forever. Has anyone found a way to remove the Fruit Trees?

UPDATE EDIT: (SOLVED)
After @mindymilburn confirmed they had succeeded in the removal of Fruit Trees, I tried again using the Axe. As the trees occupy 4 tiles, you cannot hit the trunk of the tree. Instead you should target the floor tile in the upper left corner of the four that the tree occupies. It takes quite a high number of axe swings, but it will eventually remove the tree.

I had to hit the trees on all sides with my gold axe for a while before they came down. I had the same issue with causing a site issue and I thought I had to wait until it was out of season to take it down. I just kept hitting and it finally worked.

Anyone happen to know if say it takes ten axe chops to bring a fruit tree (or any tree here for that matter) down, say you hit it five times and then stop, does it reset back to needing ten chops the following day after sleeping and saving or would it still only need 5 more chops to bring it down still?

Just do it at the beginning of a day, when your stamina bar is full. Keep whacking away at it until it capitulates... Oh, you might need a Gold quality Axe. I say "might" because I'm not certain it's needed, just that's what I used.

It took me 33 hits in the upper left corner of the tall plant with a bronze axe, so it is possible.

You can do it with a starting axe, took me 50 hits if anyone wants to know!
