i can't get the first part of lily's 7 heart event to show up, am i missing something?

The museum should be upgraded (the one with founder's hall). If you got a cutscene with Scott telling you about basil and going to the abandoned villa then you're on the right track.

i got the cutscene of someone arriving on the island, but when i went to the museum the cutscene still did not trigger what am i doing wrong ;-;

Well, there are reports that some heart events don't trigger like they should. Maybe you have encountered that bug. Other than that I have no idea since I got to trigger it on my own.

The devs so far have released hotfixes for the game so my best bet is that you wait, but if you want to restart I won't stop you. Lily's 8 and 10 heart events are kinda cute so I won't blame you if you're impatient haha. Just before you attempt to restart make sure you double check if you really can't trigger the event. You must've seen her 2, 3, 6 heart events prior, then any day go to the Museum (06:00–16:50), make sure that the museum has already been upgraded to level 2 with the Pickstarter and Founder's Hall stuff.
