Unstuck option should NOT punish you.
Sorry, but why in the hell does using the "stuck" option to get out of one of the countless situations where you get stuck in scenery or whatever make you end the day?

It should just teleport you to your house. Basically right were you would start the day. But without losing the current one. Because that makes no sense. Why are you punishing players for YOUR glitches?

The dumb answer is that they are probably worried that people will use the option to "cheat" back to their house.

I mean, if someone wants to, who cares? It's a single player game, so it's not like it would affect anyone but themselves. And it doesn't take long to get fast travel anyway, so I see it as even less of an issue.

But the fact that you can get stuck so easily is insanely frustrating. And to punish the players for devs having glitches in their game just seems back asswards.

Yeah, I'm not happy at all. I got the glitch where my character was stuck holding the hoe in midair over her head and she was completely frozen that way. Nothing else I tried worked to unstick her, and it was at the end of the day so I didn't want to quit without saving and replay the whole day. But that was a stiff penalty and I'm mad because it was a game glitch that forced me to use the option in the first place. "Hi, our game is broken and we're going to punish you for it."

I got stuck in the ocean last time I played. I was about to hit some trash and I got my first fossil node, so the game got stuck... or rather, my character got stuck with the scythe in the air. I couldn't move her or anything, but the time was moving, everything around my character was moving. It was a few in-game hours until the end of the day and that was a day I'd made a lot of progress (I had just opened up the area in the deep sea with the purple kelp, forgive me for not remembering the name right now), so I didn't want to start over. I used the unstuck button and it did take me home and give me a penalty, but what also happened was, my character was STILL stuck with the scythe over her head, she couldn't pick up or use anything, and would not run/walk normally, like she could only move side to side or something. I ended up still having to quit the game to fix that, but at least the progress from the day before was saved, I guess.

The unstuck option should be, restart day OR go to next day

Good idea.

Knowing them, it's "intentional design decision".

There are a lot of questionable game design decisions that really seems amateur-ish on this title.

I think it just teleporting you to your home (basically resetting your character to fix position and animation bugs) would be fine.

But at the very least restarting the day would be vastly better than punishing players and forcing them to lose the day AND get a stamina penalty.

one of them is being able to pull item magically/wirelessly from a chest that was set to global inventory. i don't get it, i don't get the logic behind it. some said it was requested by many so dev made it but why tho.
In Stardew Valley, it's a mod called Chest Anywhere, basically a cheat mod that works the same way as this one

Right I was underwater and stuck swinging my sickle. So froze I had to alt tab and come back to get to pause screen to say im stuck. The for the game being glitched I get the day wasted and lose my stamina. Seriously just set to next day or my position to nearest waypoint like I teleported.

That's one of the things I DON'T mind.
Having to run around and sort through chests to get various items for crafting is a pain. Having an easy access system is nice.

If anything, I would expand on it.
I would add another specific category for "food". Only containers marked as food have their contents shown when cooking. Saves you having EVERYTHING show up when trying to cook.

What? This is one of the best things about this game.
Being able to get your items isn't cheating. A mod isn't cheating since it's your own game. It would be different if this was an MMO or something, but it's not.

Well they are wireless connected to your Computer if you build one, so why not. You can view your storage that way too. They even made categories that don't work yet.

As for the 'stuck in the air', generally for me it helps to alt-tab a few times and usually it releases the character at some point for me. Beats having to loose your day at least?

Agreeing with 'Unstuck shouldn't be a punishment' btw. This game is way too glitchy and also single player to support this questionable design choice.

Yes, this exactly! And also being able to craft anywhere instead of in a specific 'crafting zone'.
