But the fact that you can get stuck so easily is insanely frustrating. And to punish the players for devs having glitches in their game just seems back asswards.
Knowing them, it's "intentional design decision".
There are a lot of questionable game design decisions that really seems amateur-ish on this title.
But at the very least restarting the day would be vastly better than punishing players and forcing them to lose the day AND get a stamina penalty.
In Stardew Valley, it's a mod called Chest Anywhere, basically a cheat mod that works the same way as this one
Having to run around and sort through chests to get various items for crafting is a pain. Having an easy access system is nice.
If anything, I would expand on it.
I would add another specific category for "food". Only containers marked as food have their contents shown when cooking. Saves you having EVERYTHING show up when trying to cook.
Being able to get your items isn't cheating. A mod isn't cheating since it's your own game. It would be different if this was an MMO or something, but it's not.
As for the 'stuck in the air', generally for me it helps to alt-tab a few times and usually it releases the character at some point for me. Beats having to loose your day at least?
Agreeing with 'Unstuck shouldn't be a punishment' btw. This game is way too glitchy and also single player to support this questionable design choice.
Yes, this exactly! And also being able to craft anywhere instead of in a specific 'crafting zone'.
