any news on when multiplayer is supposed to release?

I remember seeing it at some point for December (I think) when we still had the road map to check. I'm hoping it happens soon, but I'm starting to doubt it will, since it's (seemingly) full release has happened. I love this game and have put so many hours into it though, I'd love to play this with friends.
