If you're just planting them once and then selling It's likely to be Fall, Orchids are the single most valuable wild seed crop barring the 2 regrows, one of the regrows being sweet potato which is also Fall.
If you're processing then it's far too complicated of a situation to work out here, dependant on what you have, how long you're willing to wait etc.
Really their best use is to get crops you don't have access to yet due to town rank, but as you're at C already then it's a none issue. Just put them down in winter so you don't have to buy your own tea seeds as that's all wild seeds become in winter.
This is where it matters only.
If the answer is no, plant them.
If the answer is yes, plant them whenever.
However i would recommend spring year 2 or summer. as the randomness of the seeds CAN give you the 'expensive' seeds like melon etc for free.
You can't get melon from wild seeds, they're not any random seed, it's a limited selection.
Spring is Lettuce & Turnip, Summer Okra & Sunflower, Fall Orchid & Sweet Potato, Winter is Tea Leaves.
That's why everyone says Winter year 1 for the early Tea if you haven't hit C yet.
If I plant wild seeds, do they get the quality star buff of my upgraded seeds? Or they don't and treated bad base value?
A star isn't added to them in the inventory so i believe they stay at base value.
