Missing Fish Pond (UPDATE FOUND! LOST AGAIN)

UPDATE: The FOLLOWING day after losing my 4th fish pond, I went to the carpenter to move my ponds closer together (only 3 because the 4th gifted in the mail by Sunny was deleted after I placed it the previous day BUT THEN I chose a fish pond to move and it ended up being the missing fish pond and I was able to place it where I wanted in the first place.) So happy!

LATEST UPDATE: I used the architect’s desk to move my fish ponds closer again and then the 4th pond disappeared again. And also when I placed my gifted bug pond from Eleanor, it disappeared as well. So I’ll be going to the carpenter tomorrow to see if they’re there and able to move.

Original Discussion: I received a fish pond from Sunny in the mail. Went to place it with X and it disappeared. It never placed it. I can’t find it anywhere. I’ve tried hitting the spot I placed it with my pickaxe and axe and nothing :( I’m so sad!

Had the same issue just now. I received a fish pond from the offering. Clicked to place it (it had a green outline) and it just disappeared.

We want to assure you that the team is actively working on a fix—we’re hopeful it’ll be resolved soon.

In the meantime, if you’d prefer to roll back to the previous day, you can load a backup save from the day you received the item or before you placed it.
To help prevent the issue from happening again, please store the items safely inside a chest and avoid placing them until the fix is released.

Here’s how to load your backup save:
- Go to Settings on the title screen and set “Show Backup” to Yes.
- Return to the Save File list from the main menu.
- Toggle “Show Backup” at the bottom left of the screen to see your available backup saves.

A response I did in another post regardingt this:

I Had the same problem with both the pond and the insect house that was placed from inventory.
But I noticed that the placement was off, in my case it actually placed the building something like 2 slots down and 3 slots to the left from where it should be placed, and if that placement was outside the build area or ontop of something else the pond/insect house dissapeared.
After noticing this a cleard an area that was free from stuff around and just placed it there until it was built, then I could move it without problem.
Just a tip to try out/check.

i was gifted a pound in the mail, put it on the ground and that ♥♥♥♥ just vanished. never able to find it
