Right now, the game makes several gestures towards completionists:
So I'd want the computer to allow have a indicator for offered items, and I'd want the inventory, journal, and computer to have an indicator for shipped items. For the journal, I'd want the fish, insects, and ocean critters to also have a "hide donated items" toggle. And for everything needed for Legendary Farmer (according to the description, everything in the produce, caught, and found categories), I'd want a "hide shipped" toggle.
(Side note: geodes are listed under gems, even though they have their own geode category. They're still listed when you hide the donated items, since the museum doesn't want them. I think they should be removed from that tab, for clarity. The coffers and fossil nodes aren't listed anywhere.)
(Other side note: The journal has five icons below the description, with the different star qualities. I had initially thought it might be a checklist for which qualities have been encountered or shipped, or that you could select them to see how the stats and price change based on quality, but neither of those seems to be the case. Instead, it seems to just be the game saying "this item can have different quality levels, so here's what the icon looks like with different types of stars next to it".)
I'd also want the cooking counter thing applied to the crafting menu for DIY Expert. And for Fashion Guru, the clothing store should indicate which items you've already bought.
Just need to have it show up in journal.
For fish you can see how many you've caught but not if you've sold any. For Fossils you get no information. I had numerous of both where they appeared in the journal because I'd found them but the only copy I'd had had gone into a bundle or to the museum.
The problem is that this indicator isn't present in the journal, so it can't help you figure out if you need to acquire that item first in order to ship it.
(There's also a chance of false positive, since the price only shows up if you shipped that exact quality of item. If you shipped a silver item and currently have a gold item, no price will be listed, so you might conclude that you haven't shipped it yet. This fortunately isn't a problem for items that have no quality, like fossils, gems, and artifacts.)
